As this was our first visit, we had a sharing platter to try all the dishes. Everything, except the beef, which was chewy and gristly, was excellent. The manager did offer a new dish which we decline because we were full! We also received a 25% discount on our final bill. All in all, worth a visit
Holy shit, if you're going to Newcastle stop here. Food is incredible, vibes are immaculate and the staff are so friendly. I had the sharing board which was amazing. So glad I went here.
Exceptional! My wife chose this place I wasn't sure.. but how I was proved wrong, absolutely outstanding, I like a place with a small menu as you know there's been care taken to choose each dish, I had to get the sharer board as I couldn't decide and every mouthful was an explosion of flavour! The Broccoli smallplate was tremendous and the banana bread was next level brilliant, i dont know what the corn salsa was but i could eat it by the bucket. Got to be one of the best meals I've ever had, the place is vibrant and modern, warm and cozy, the staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly, Erin our server was so helpful an absolute credit to Hula.. I can't rate this place enough and can't wait for our next visit.
Lovely service, great deal on cocktails before 6pm and our brilliant server Dani was great at ensuring we could get the deal at 5.50pm! Food was brilliant and the small plates were lush. Would definitely recommend!
Had a Sunday lunch sharing board - food was lovely & big portion, it's recommended for 2 but 3 of us shared it with 2 extra sides... Everything was well cooked, the cauliflower cheese & hispi cabbage were my favourites. Service was excellent, really quick & attentive, our server Anna was lovely! Would happily go back to try their normal menu
Sunday dinner. I opted for the Chicken dinner whilst Mrs K and the lad went for the Sunday sharing platter. Great portion sizes, and fantastic flavours. Service was spot on, quick, friendly and helpful. We left stuffed and with a doggy bag for what couldn't be eaten here and then. Highly recommended.
Food was lovely, especially liked the fried chicken with the spicy mango sauce. The 2 for 1 cocktail deal was great value, and the recommended sour pear drop cocktail was one of the best I ever had. Andrew was our waiter and he couldn't be more polite and attentive. Great service, good food. Will definitely come back. Note, if you want to visit on the weekend at peak times, you should book.
We came on a quiet Wednesday night, but don’t let the lack of customers put you off. The food is some of the best that I’ve had in Newcastle and would highly recommend the sharing platter. Charlie our server was fantastic and very attentive. The atmosphere is nice and chilled and decor is lovely too. 10/10
